A new opportunity has been created in East Lothian for a suitably experienced pharmacist to provide professional leadership to the HSCP.
East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) have significantly grown the pharmacy team in response to primary care transformation, GMS pharmacotherapy services and Achieving Excellence in Pharmaceutical Care strategy.
Supported by the NHS Lothian Pharmacy Service and with professional leadership from NHS Lothian’s Associate Director of Pharmacy, you will lead and manage a well-respected and successful HSCP team working across East Lothian.
You will work closely with senior clinicians and managers, joining the primary care team, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of the partnership. As the Lead Prescribing Advisor to the HSCP, you will have a firm grasp of medicines governance, have management and project management experience and you will work collaboratively with Lead Pharmacists across the other three HSCPs in Lothian, exploring opportunities to jointly develop prescribing quality and efficiency programmes.
A pharmacist with a substantial level of experience across a range of pharmacy practice settings, you will be an innovator who has an enthusiastic approach to implementing local and national strategy.
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are required. This post requires Enhanced PVG Scheme Membership.
