An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 5 Staff Nurse’s to join and complement our existing nursing teams within Mental Health and Learning Disability Services.

We are currently looking to recruit registered nurses who have a genuine interest in working with Mental Health and Learning Disabilities.

We are looking for highly motivated people who possess effective written and oral communication skills and have the ability to work as part of a team. We want individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment and enjoy the challenges new roles offer. 

Newly graduate mental health nurses are encouraged to apply and will be given the support/ training needed during your first year as a registered nurse in order to complete the flying start programme and develop the skills necessary to progress in your career in the direction you wish.

RMN & RLDN qualifications are essential. RGN with relevant/previous experience working within MH&LD will be considered.

Royal Cornhill hospital houses various specialties of mental health nursing including:

Adult Mental Health: Huntly, Fraser & Dunnottar wards

Brain Injury: Brodie Ward

CAMHs

Eating disorders: Eden Unit regional unit for North East Scotland

Forensic Services: Forensic Acute, Forensic Rehab and Great Western Lodge

Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit

Learning Disabilities: Loirston & Strathbeg wards

Older Adult Mental Health, functional and Dementia specialist services: Skene ward (dementia assessment), Fyvie and Drum (functional assessment).

Rehabilitation: Corgarff ward and Polmuir Road
