An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant to become a member of the NHS Forth Valley Immunisation Team. The Immunisation Team will be part of the Immunisation Service. The Health Care Assistant will support the Immunisation Team, and work with partner agencies and local communities assisting in raising the awareness of immunisation needs and facilitating immunisation activity.
The Health Care Assistant will contribute to and assist in the delivery of the work of the NHSFV Immunisation Team, and assist in supporting many of the national immunisation programmes currently delivered in Forth Valley and future new and changing immunisation programmes. The applicant must be flexible as changing shifts patterns may occur. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for the post.
They will assist in the delivery of high quality health care in the planning and delivery of immunisation sessions, supporting and working closely with the team and other services and agencies involved in the delivery of immunisation programmes.
As a member of the Immunisation Team, the Health Care Assistant, will be involved in the delivery of the childhood programmes in both primary and secondary schools and other vaccination programmes in the community and hospital setting.
The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and high levels of interpersonal and communication skills. Previous experience in an immunising setting would be advantageous, but individuals with keen interest and potential, will also be considered. Applicants should be able to adapt to unpredictable workloads in very busy clinic/school settings and be able to meet the physical and emotional demands of working in an Immunisation Team.
