We have an exciting development opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative pharmacist to join the Primary Care Pharmacy team in Edinburgh H&SCP. The post will provide secondment cover to the existing lead team in the North of the city. The successful candidate will work with the existing Advanced Clinical Pharmacists in a locality to lead and develop pharmaceutical services in accordance with locally identified priorities.
You will have the opportunity to build on your existing skills to develop and implement both clinically focused strategies for the delivery of pharmaceutical care, and to advise practices on prescribing issues, prescribing initiatives and budgetary management.
You will be a key member of the HSCP Team, working alongside the multidisciplinary team.
The post is 1wte, with scope for flexibility in weekly working hours for the successful candidate and job share will be considered. The post will cover the North of Edinburgh, with offices situated in Pennywell All Care Centre, and include direct practice support to specific GP practices in the locality. Additional service development work may require working with other localities in Edinburgh or other HSCPs across Lothian.
