This post is a 11 Month Fixed Term / Secondment position.
The National Specialist and Screening Directorate (NSD) plans, funds and co-ordinates national specialist and screening services, national clinical, diagnostic and justice networks and national planning on behalf of NHS Boards and the Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates. It facilitates service change across NHS Scotland to ensure consistent, equitable provision of high quality, safe, effective, person centred services to meet the needs of the population of Scotland.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Programme Support Officer based in Edinburgh, with travel throughout Scotland. The maternity cover post will support a team that is responsible for the coordination of National screening programmes. This will involve working across NHS organisational boundaries, liaising closely with clinicians, NHS England trusts and Scottish health boards. The postholder will be required to process complex and confidential information and will support on the collection, maintenance and analysis of activity data.
You should be a highly motivated individual who has excellent organisational, IT and communication skills, able to work to deadlines and prioritise a busy workload. The post-holder will be required to provide a high level of support to the NSD Programme Managers, internal and external groups and NHS Scotland health professionals.
