To be the appointed Environmental Management Representative in line with CEL 2 (2012) for NHS Lothian.
Develop and manage an effective organisation wide Environmental Management System which meets the requirement of ISO14001 standard to measure and improve NHS Lothian environmental performance consistent with the Scottish Governments commitment to sustainable development.
Ensure that NHS Lothian can demonstrate that it complies with or exceeds the requirement environmental legislation to reduce the environmental harm of its operations, reduce organisational risk and support efficiency improvements.
Support the procedures around statutory reporting duties on climate change adaptation for the board and other environmental monitoring and reporting duties as required.
