Job Advert
The Community Perinatal Mental Health Team welcome applications from experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologists who have enthusiasm for this specialism. You will join a newly formed MDT working with mums and partners across Grampian in the perinatal period. This post is part of a Scotland wide initiative to improve the mental health of families in this vital period and is backed up by a focussed training programme for staff.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with complex presentations and will be qualified in more than one therapeutic modality. Therapy will be delivered individually and in groups so experience in groupwork would be valued. Triage with the team and liaison with other services will be a key part of the job. There will be opportunities to supervise colleagues and Clinical Psychology trainees so supervision training and experience is essential. As the department will undertake routine clinical evaluation, experience in audit/research will be important.
The team is composed of Psychology, CMHNs, Psychiatry, OT, Social Work, Midwifery and Health Visiting working as a cohesive team. We are well supported by admin and management and have spacious clinic accommodation and free parking. The opportunity for some home working should be possible. We welcome applicants who are interested in part time working or those who would be interested in a split post with another specialty in Grampian.
Interviews will take place on the 23rd of May 2022
