GENDER IDENTITY NURSE PRACTITIONER
Band 6: £33,072 - £40,736
15 hours per week – Part time, Permanent
Highland Sexual Health are seeking to recruit an RGN or RMH nurse to the Gender Identity team, currently based at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a rapidly developing speciality. This post will form a part of an MDT, shaping care for patients in Highland experiencing gender incongruence. Experience of managing gender incongruence beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
Applicants will have to demonstrate a high level of communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and a degree of independent practice. Working as part of a skilled multi-disciplinary care team you will work with patients to develop personalised care pathways that enable people to acquire the social roles and sex characteristic that are congruent with their inner conceptions of gender identity.
