GGC (NE ) Orthoptic Vacancy ( 22.5 hrs)

You will join a friendly team of orthoptists, optometrists and ophthalmologists working in NE Glasgow. (Stobhill ACH/GRI). Your caseload will be varied and will include : shared care orthoptic/optometry paediatric clinics; adult motility clinics (including Botox and adjustable surgery); endocrine ,neuro-ophthalmology ,maxillofacial and onward referrals from GGH Acute Referral Centre. You will also carry out pre-school vision screening in nurseries and therefore a car driver/owner would be advantageous. You must be a good communicator and have a caring and empathic approach.

You will have a range of CPD opportunities and with appropriate training and

experience contribute to undergraduate orthoptic training.

You must hold a BSc in orthoptics/B.Med.Sci.(Orthoptics) or Diploma of the British Orthoptic Council and have current HCPC registration. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.

This is a part-time post however flexible/family friendly hours will be considered in

line with NHS GGC Work life balance policy.
