A permanent full-time vacancy has arisen for a Service Manager, within the Medical Cardiology Team-based the University Hospital Hairmyres.

A full valid UK driving licence holder will be essential for this position to meet the needs of the service.
The Cardiology Services Manager is responsible for the management of one of the three Cardiology Departments within Lanarkshire which provide a comprehensive Physiological Service. The purpose of this role is to enable the assessment and treatment of patients with known or suspected cardiac disorders and to provide leadership development and operational management to clinical and other support staff in the provision of the service. Demonstrate their knowledge & experiences as a senior Physiologist and can demonstrate a wide range of Specialist knowledge in Cardiac investigations/proceduresBSc in Clinical Physiology with equivalent academic and work experience to Master's Degree level and able to demonstrate professional qualifications which will include e.g.BSE (British Society of Echocardiography) accreditation Exam + 12-month case submission + video review and completed several BSE accredited courses on Echocardiography. Experience in Adult Congenital Heart Disease, with experience in teaching and demonstrating complete ongoing re accreditation every 5 years Testamur of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology Examination in special competency in Pacemaker and ICD and have at least several preparatory experience in Pacemaker implant and follow up (4.5 hr written exam)British Pacing and Electrophysiology Group Accreditation Examination (Exam and 12-month case log)
The successful candidate will have undertaken a wide range of Management Courses. In addition, should exhibit the following managerial qualities:
Wide knowledge of Health Service Practices and developments within NHS. Computer literate & excellent audit & communications skills.
