Following a successful pilot project an exciting opportunity exists for an individual to join the specialist respiratory nursing team within the medicine division.
The main focus of the post is continuing to build & develop an ILD service across NHS Tayside. Key aspects to this role include; providing specialist support and symptom management, coordinating care in terms of accessing palliative services, medication, oxygen and where applicable anti-fibrotic medication; exploring underlying patient wishes with regards to anticipatory care planning, including discussions around DNA CPR and treatment escalation plans. The chosen applicant will work closely within an experienced team of specialist respiratory nurses, respiratory and palliative care medical teams.
Previous experience of both respiratory and palliative care is essential.
Interested individuals should have an understanding of quality improvement and service development and a proven track record of evidence of improving care for patients.
Ability to travel is necessary as home visiting across NHS Tayside is part of the role.
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the NMC Register. Non- medical prescribing is essential.

Hours of work are: 37.5 Hr per week.
