North Cancer Alliance Manager

The North of Scotland is seeking inspiring team player to work across the 6 North of Scotland Health Boards to support the North Cancer Alliance. The post holder will work closely with the network Clinical Lead and be responsible for guiding and leading the North of Scotland Cancer Alliance by delivering effective governance and risk functions.
The post holder will ensure the development and delivery of a North of Scotland Cancer Strategy, an underpinning North of Scotland Cancer Plan, and an assurance framework to ensure delivery of all key activity and financial requirements.
The post holder will support strategy development through effective working relationships in order to lead highly complex cancer redesign. A key part of the role is gaining trust and credibility with professional groups / representatives, patients, local authorities, voluntary organisations and other associated stakeholders. Because of the emotive nature of the work this will require personal credibility and a high degree of facilitation, persuasion and negotiation skills.
You should be educated to master’s level with previous experience working in a senior management post.
You will be required to work across the 6 North of Scotland Health Board areas therefore the ability to travel and manage workload flexibly is essential.
