Hours: Nightshift, Midnight to 8am, 17.50 hours, 3 week shift pattern.
                                       
We require a Clerical Officer to provide admin/clerical support within the Health Records Department at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. 

It will primarily be your responsibility to work within Emergency Department Reception; this post is required to maintain a 24 hour cover within ED reception. This role provides front line service to patients arriving at A&E and is vital for the provision of recording of patient attendance and admissions via Trakcare. You be confident in dealing with anxious and upset patients/relatives showing empathy and delivering professional customer service.

There will be an expectation to carry out additional administrative tasks which will include running off reports and accurately updating data. There will also be a requirement to prepare and scan medical casenotes/ED cards, uploading to the clinical portal.

Adhoc duties may be requested by Health Records Supervisors ensuring efficiency across the 24/7 Inpatient and Emergency team. 

A level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential for this role due to data being uploaded to a live clinical system.

Relevant training will also be provided to support NHS Fife Switchboard

Relevant admin/clerical experience is required as is the ability to prioritise and deal with the day to day workload in a busy environment.  You will be required to work both independently and as part of a team.
