A 12 month, fixed term vacancy has arisen for a Band 8A Principal Clinical / Counselling Psychologist  (0.6WTE) within NHS GGC’s Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Service. Up to 6 sessions are available, however we will consider fewer sessions if required. We will also consider a secondment (with line manager support) and/or a job share arrangement.    This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high quality, psychological therapies service to adults with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder. The post holder will join a small team of skilled and dedicated psychological therapists, and receive clinical supervision from the Consultant Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Lead. The post holder will build on their existing skills and training in DBT throughout the fixed term contract and will contribute to the delivery of a DBT treatment programme, the supervision of DBT-trained clinicians within and outwith the service, and case consultation to colleagues across mental health services in NHS GG&C.  You will be an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist , registered with the HCPC, and have extensive experience of secondary care adult mental health services and the delivery of evidence-based psychological therapies to adults presenting with Borderline Personality Disorder.  The post holder will join the large and dynamic South Psychology department and enjoy extensive support and CPD opportunities.
