Band 7 Senior Charge Nurse
Endoscopy Unit
Glasgow Royal Infirmary
This is a busy unit providing a wide range of diagnostic, therapeutic and acute upper and lower Endoscopic procedures for both out-patients and in-patients in collaboration with the specialities of Gastroenterology, Colorectal Surgery, Upper GI surgery and Respiratory medicine.
This post will offer you an opportunity to demonstrate and deliver strong clinical leadership and direction for all nursing staff within the department. You will be responsible for effectively managing financial resources ensuring optimum deployment of your nursing workforce; ensuring high quality patient care is delivered. You will also be responsible for the purchasing of equipment or products by sourcing costing information, accumulating conveying information and product evaluation in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure provision of a high quality cost effective service. You will maintain the high standards of patient care using audit, risk management and evidence based practice.
It is essential you are a Registered Adult Nurse and desirable you are educated to Degree / Diploma level. You should have substantial post registration experience within an Endoscopy or theatre environment, with relevant experience as a band 6 within an acute Endoscopy / Theatre environment.
