This is a full-time permanent post.
The Respiratory Physiology Service provides routine & specialized services to the population of Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The post holder will be required to perform the full range of Sleep, Lung function & Exercise investigations offered by the GGH department. They will be required to analyse and report complex physiological investigations as well provide support to clinics. The post holder must be able to travel to other GGC partner sites to support other departments within Greater Glasgow & Clyde when required (during staff leave/sickness etc.) The post holder will be asked to supervise junior staff & may be asked to deliver training and education to other team members, to other medical specialties within the hospital and GGC.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
BSc in Clinical Physiology + knowledge of specialist procedures gained through accredited courses or equivalent experience to master’s equivalent level.
Advanced procedures acquired through accredited courses or experience.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience at specialist practitioner level.
Must have a working knowledge of relevant national standards, professional guidelines and local policies & procedures.
Registered practitioner. (Voluntary Register) (Essential).
Desirable
MSc. in Respiratory Physiology
Sleep Qualification (e.g. RPSGT or equivalent).
