Research & Development Research Monitor/Quality Assurance Support Officer (Band 6)
We are seeking an enthusiastic Research & Development Research Monitor/Quality Assurance Support Officer (full-time) to support clinical research activities taking place in NHS Grampian and University of Aberdeen.
The post-holder will support commercial and non-commercial clinical research in both organisations, and will be responsible for the routine monitoring of Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products, Medical Device Clinical Investigations and other interventional and non-interventional clinical research. The post-holder shall ensure compliance with the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research, Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations 2004, ICH GCP Guidelines, and appropriate SOP’s.
The post-holder shall also support the Quality Assurance Manager in audit, third-party assessment and ensuring the readiness for regulatory inspection of both organisations by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
Educated to degree level in an appropriate scientific or clinical field, the post-holder will have experience of working in clinical research and a sound knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g. MHRA or UKAS). They will also have excellent communication, interpersonal, organisation and IT skills. Familiarity with Q-Pulse would be an advantage.
