This is a fixed term post for 12 months.

The Oncology Portfolio is extremely busy and supports Commercially sponsored and non-commercially sponsored research projects.  The Systems team is part of the wider Research & innovation team and is responsible for the delivery of streamlined research approvals for GG&C research projects and amendments.  

The post holder will manage research administration and document submissions to support the timely review of study documents and will support their Research Facilitator & Research Co-ordinator to deliver against project milestones, timelines and targets.  

The post holder will provide expert research support and advice to Pharmaceutical Company representatives; staff from Contract Research Organisations and Clinical Academics ranging from Consultant/Professor level to students.  The successful applicant will co-ordinate review and approval from support departments and be actively involved in ensuring that the logistics of a study can happen across GG&C.  This includes liaising with Nursing support, Pharmacy reviewers and approval, financial review, tissue acquisition, and Patient imaging.  

The Research & Innovation Administrative team is centrally located at Dykebar Hospital in Paisley where this post will be based.  

The post holder must be educated to degree level (Biological Science/ Nursing / Social science or other) and should have relevant experience, a good understanding of research methodologies and terminology, and a drive to deliver a robust and efficient service.   
   
The shift pattern is; 09.00am – 17.00pm Monday – Friday, flexible working required at times to meet project requirements
