We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our developing Band 6 rotation. The rotation spans the Royal Victoria Building (RVB), Western General Hospital (WGH), Royal Infirmary (RIE) encompassing both inpatient acute wards, rehabilitation, and orthopaedic rehabilitation in the community

Candidates must display evidence of excellent clinical reasoning with this very varied and complex caseload.  You will be able to demonstrate an advanced ability to prioritise and discharge plan for a wide range of presentations.  You will have a broad experience within Band 5 rotations covering all core specialties.  This will ensure you have advanced rehabilitation skills as well as experience in treating acutely unwell patients.  Some experience of community rehabilitation would be beneficial 

You will have experience in service development and Quality Improvement methodology to support a very proactive team who are involved in various Quality Improvement projects at a uni-professional and multidisciplinary team level. Additionally you will have proven experience in student practice placement education, and mentorship and development of Band 5 physiotherapy staff.

You will participate collaboratively with the teams across a range of organisational and professional topics as required by the service and as delegated from head of service. You will participate in respiratory weekend work, including on calls.  The Physiotherapy service operates on a 5/7 basis

The range of conditions and specialities encountered will mean there is a requirement for excellence in leadership and team working in this post.  This will allow the successful candidate to gain extensive and in-depth experience as a senior clinician as well as gain / improve leadership skills
