Paediatric Research at the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital is increasing in capacity! We have more studies open and we are expanding across specialties such as emergency care, mental health and surgery. This is an exciting time to join the paediatric research team and help make your mark on paediatric research and improve medicines and healthcare for children.
The team supports 20 plus studies including drug trials, registries, interventions and questionnaires in healthy children and children with conditions, from neonates to adolescents. Research nurse roles offer the opportunity to work closely with the clinical teams across all disciplines supporting them in their research responsibilities and expanding your clinical skills.
We are currently looking to recruit a 1.0 FTE Band 5 Children’s Clinical Research Nurse to join our dynamic and friendly team to support and lead on the delivery of high quality, holistic care to children and young people participating in research studies. You will be joining a team which includes clinical research nurses, and a clinical trial pharmacist.
As a Children’s Research Nurse you will play a key role in delivering protocol specific activities, managing data and information, organising research visits, collaborating with clinical teams, supporting patients and families and other members of the multidisciplinary team, to ensure that trials are conducted in compliance with Good Clinical Practice and deliver a seamless pathway for patients.
You will be responsible for the holistic nursing care of children and young people and their families on existing clinical trials and contribute to the assessment and management of care pathways for patients participating in new clinical studies.
