This senior post represents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the established integrated working arrangements in West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP). Working as part of the senior management team the post holder will have a pivotal role in leading, coordinating and managing both health and community care services including primary care services.

As a well established integrated HSCP, we are committed to a programme of improvement to transform services and further develop the important relationships with all of our stakeholders.  Transformation is about making significant changes to how services are planned and delivered in partnership with people who use them and above all demonstrates a clear commitment to the West Dunbartonshire HSCP values. This innovative partnership between NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and West Dunbartonshire Council is responsible for seamlessly delivering all primary care, local community health and social care services to our residents.  We have risen to the challenge by ensuring that our services are effective, efficient and are patient, carer and user centred.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an outstanding individual with the vision and leadership skills to continue to support strategically West Dunbartonshire HSCP and oversee the on-going development of health and social care services.

You will have operational management responsibility for a highly committed team of health and social care teams operating in diverse and complex situations across health and community care settings.

The post holder will have a key role in the continued development of the HSCP by leading, co-ordinating and implementing health and community care services within the West Dunbartonshire area.

You will have the creativity and skills to transform our vision for integrated health and social care into a reality. Experience of redesigning services in consultation with people who use them is essential. 

You will have a proven track record of success at a senior management level in public service, third or independent sectors levels and have a strong commitment to integration and understanding of the local and national health and social care agenda.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience of working with a range of diverse stakeholders and possess the interpersonal skills required to operate effectively in often complex and politically sensitive environments.

You will be committed to integrated working across West Dunbartonshire Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and as part of the senior management team you will play a key role in the development and delivery of the partnership’s strategic priorities.  You will have a proven record of successful change management and of achieving tangible results through working with and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders.  You will possess strong leadership and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and social care and be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment whilst remaining focused on strategic goals and positive outcomes.

West Dunbartonshire itself is just half an hour from Glasgow (via the A82 or M8) and has strong public transport links to our state or the art Dumbarton Office.
