The post holder will be based Inverclyde CAMHS within Greater Glasgow and Clyde Specialist Children’s Services and will fulfill the duties of a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist as part of the multi-disciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). The post holder will offer a direct clinical service to children, young people, and their families/carers, providing specialist Systemic Psychotherapy. This will also include offering advice and consultation to other CAMHS colleagues, multi-agency colleagues and to other non-professional carers. The post holder requires an MSc level qualification (or equivalent) in Family & Systemic Psychotherapy, and to be registered with UKCP and AFT as a Family & Systemic Psychotherapist.
The post holder also requires to have a qualification in a relevant mental health/social welfare profession - with relevant practice in this first profession over a minimum of three years. To reflect the adaptions to practice under current COVID restrictions, the candidate must be able to demonstrate a confidence, flexibility and creativity in remote working. This would cover all aspects of the post i.e. direct clinical work, consultations, professional meetings, supervision and CPD.
