Highland Health and Social Care Services help people from all walks of life, as well as their families or carers. Health and Social Care in Highland provides help and assistance in many situations arising due to illness, disability, old age or poverty.

 

Are you interested in being part of the East Sutherland Integrated Health and Social Care Team?  An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who wishes to apply for this social work post working within the Integrated Team to provide care and support to patients in their own homes and other community settings across Sutherland.

 

The successful applicant will support adults with complex needs due to conditions such as learning disabilities, substance misuse, mental health issues, physical illness/disability, acquired brain injury, dementia, or old age.

 

This post is sited within the Sutherland Social Work service and the base will be at the Lawson Memorial Hospital, but ability to work from home and other areas available.

 

A driving licence is essential and a pool car will be available, however, applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes, if required.

 

Applicants should be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council on the ‘Social Worker’ part of the Register and also hold a qualification that is recognised by the SSSC as being equivalent to the Diploma in Social Work (DipSW).

This is a permanent post working 17.5 hours per week, worked in accordance with service requirements.
