Tayside Nutrition & Dietetic Service are looking for an experienced dietitian to join our team based in Perth Royal Infirmary. The post holder will work as part of a small, integrated team providing dietetic input to stroke services, medical wards, medicine for the elderly, orthopaedics, haematology, oncology and palliative care. The Perth Royal Infirmary team are part of the wider Perth & Kinross team and therefore work closely with community colleagues, as well as with colleagues based at Ninewells and in the other NHS Tayside hospitals.
This post would ideally suit an experienced band 6 dietitian or an experienced band 5 dietitian ready to progress in a hospital setting. The post holder will work closely with the multidisciplinary stroke team and colleagues from other disciplines throughout the hospital, taking a proactive approach to the clinical care of patients and demonstrating leadership around evidence-based nutritional interventions, including contribution to development of the stroke nutrition pathway in Tayside. They will also be responsible for the supervision of a band 5 rotational dietitian and dietetic support worker. Excellent teamworking and communication skills are therefore essential in this role, as is the ability to work independently.
