​​​​​​​We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Practitioner to join our team at Beckford Lodge

The post holder will i​​​​​​Implement treatment programmes within hospital and community settings for individuals / groups of patients​​ and undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the Occupational Therapy service​​ and use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient centred programmes.


Duties may vary depending on the care group / department or assigned area of work.


​​​​​​​KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB


Formal qualification at HNC Level or equivalent level of experience in a health / education / social care environment plus short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.

Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.

Knowledge of the clinical speciality/area process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.

Ability to apply a range of technical and practical skills.

Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.

Time management, planning and organisational skills.

Working knowledge of basic information technology.

Ability to work individually or as part of a team

Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.
