NHS Ayrshire & Arran requires an enthusiastic and motivated Telephonist to work within our Hospital switchboard.

You must have a flexible approach to working, be able to provide cover during periods of leave or sickness which regularly includes unsociable hours.
You must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work in a busy environment which includes handling emergency calls, paging and alarm equipment.

This position will involve 34.5 hours, shift pattern, 12 hour dayshift x 2, 12 hour nightshift x 2 ,over 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

Switchboard and/or Contact Centre experience is essential.

Please note initial training period is a minimum of six weeks, between 9 and 5pm Monday – Friday.
