An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Research Development and Innovation (RD&I) Division of NHS Highland for the post of RD&I Facilitator. The post holder will have responsibility, along with the RD&I Governance Manager, for the governance and management of multiple research studies and projects – their execution, monitoring, control and closure. The successful candidate will be part of a team involved with the development of research studies, including their design, methodology, funding and delivery, and will and be required to provide researchers and other stakeholders with advice on all aspects of Research Governance.

The successful applicant for this post will have a versatile skill set – be a good problem solver, able to make clear decisions within the structures and processes that are determined nationally and locally, be able to learn quickly but be confident in asking questions to rapidly develop skills. Attention to detail and meticulous data and record keeping will be required to ensure regulatory compliance, and confidence in using large scale databases and other electronic platforms is a key need. Working in RD&I is a constantly changing, demanding and interesting. This key post reflects that and can be extremely rewarding. We are looking for a candidate who will approach this post with patience, lateral thinking, drive and enthusiasm.​​​​​​​
