Post Title: ADVANCED NURSE PRACTITIONER

Location: ST BRYCEDALE SURGERY, KIRKCALDY, FIFE

Salary/Banding: 6 or 7

Hours: 37.5 (Can be flexed over 4 days)

We are seeking a highly motivated Nurse to work alongside our multidisciplinary team consisting of 4 Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 1 ANP, 1 Practice Nurse, 2 HCA, 3 Phlebotomists, 1 Mental Health Nurse and support from a Community Midwife and Community Pharmacists

· 37.5 hours (Hours can be flexed over 4 days and job share considered)

· Medium Practice size with approx. 7,400 Patients

· Training Practice – Postgraduate & Undergraduate

· Fife Coastal Town (Between Edinburgh and St Andrews)

Are you interested in a position of an ANP Post? We are in the heart of the community, located centrally within the beautiful Kingdom of Fife, with easy access to the cities of Edinburgh, Perth and St Andrews. We are an east coastal town with the beach being just a 10-minute walk away.

Could you be an ANP who would play an active role within the practice to continue, maintain and ensure our values of a high level of quality care and patient safety and to help develop patient services for the future? We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will be committed in assisting our GPS in minor illness assessment, prescribing and home visits as required.

We are aiming to recruit a candidate to work 37.5 hours per week, but would consider part time candidates to cover these hours. We would be happy for the full time hours to be flexed over 4 days if this is desirable and we would be willing to be flexible on the start date for the right candidate. Each month a four-hour session of CPD time will be provided.

The salary will be dependent on experience and comparable with Agenda for Change banding.

The main role will be to manage the daily demand for minor illnesses and undertake professional autonomous clinical decision-making. A Partner would support the post holder in this. 

Person Specification: Experience in Primary Care is desirable but not essential as full support and mentorship will be available to the right candidate. Ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload.  Advanced Practice and/or Masters in Advanced Practice qualification and be a registered non-medical prescriber. Excellent communication skills and be able to work well both independently and within a team
