The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital would like to invite candidates to apply for a full-time Obstetrics Consultant role.
This is an Obstetric post with special interest in Fetal Medicine. It will be desirable if the candidate has got ATSM in Labour Ward Lead. This post is designed to allow flexibility in the proposed job plan and existing colleagues are willing to negotiate areas of responsibility to fulfil overall service needs and attempt to ensure individuals can pursue their particular special interest areas.
The Unit is the designated tertiary referral unit for the North East of Scotland and provides a full range of Obstetric and Gynaecological services. The unit has responsibility for approximately 6000 deliveries and 9000 Gynaecology admissions per annum.
Successful candidates will join a strong team of 23 Consultant Obstetricians, Gynaecologists and professorial staff.

Essential qualifications for this post include MRCOG or equivalent.

Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR).
