Job Title: Modern Apprenticeship – Telecoms Operator & Modern Apprenticeship - Administration Assistant

Location: Telecoms Operator – St John’s Hospital, Livingston

                Administration Assistant – Lauriston Building, Edinburgh

We are delighted to announce we are recruiting to two entry-level Band 2 administration positions.  ​​​​​​​


Telecoms Operator - Hours: 37.5 hours per week, the service operates 24hrs a day 7 days a week, including Public Holidays. Staff work a mix of shifts in a 5 week shift rotation An example of the shift pattern is that operators will work the full 5 shift patterns across 7 days a week with rostered days off accordingly.

Week 1 – 7am - 3pm

Week 2 – 8am - 4pm

Week 3 – 9am - 5pm

Week 4 – 4pm - 11pm

Week 5 – 11pm - 7 am (nightshift that all staff participate in)

Administration Assistant - Hours are 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday

To be considered for the Modern Apprenticeship programme candidates must be between 16-24yrs of age (or to the age of 29 if you have a disability or care experienced) and hold a National 4 or above in English and Mathematics or core skills at level 4 within an alternative qualification. Applicants must have National 4 or above in a Business/Administration or IT subject.  In addition to this, we are also interested in your values, attitude and ability to learn to enable you to become a valued member of our team. The answers to our Assessment Questions are therefore extremely important and should reflect how you feel you match our desire for enthusiastic and dynamic people who demonstrate a can-do attitude.  Please note that your CV will not be considered as part of the application process.
