DEPUTY MANAGER

FIXED TERM TO 1ST NOVEMBER 2022

18 HOURS - BAND 5

A career opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced person to work between Caladh Sona Care unit, Talmine, by Lairg and Melvich Community Care Unit to support the registered managers.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to work both on an individual basis and as a member of a team and support the manager .  You will adopt a person centred approach to deliver a high standard of flexible and responsive care to service users within the care home.  You will provide support and assistance to service users using the re-ablement approach that includes support to service users to maximise and maintain their independence. 

This post is responsible for leading the shift, administration of medication and to support and guide other care staff to meet the needs of the residents. You will undertake a key working role within the service so should have knowledge and experience of Support Planning and the reviewing process and Risk Assessing in relation to older people.

Previous experience in a social care setting is essential and ideally you will be registered with the SSSC or hold an SVQ 3 in Social care or as a minimum

SVQ 2 in Social Care to enable registration as a Practitioner in a Care Home Service for Adults. Management experience would be desirable but not essential.

A driving licence is essential for this post and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes.
