Training Programme Director for General Practice in
West of Scotland Region
General Practice Educational Supervisor Development and Educational Support
Hours: Part Time, 4 hours per week (1PA)

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
Applications are invited from experienced General Practice educators to join the team delivering General Practice education and support within the west region of the Scotland Deanery.
The role of this post is to promote and co-ordinate quality vocational training for general practice in the West Region of the Scotland Deanery with a particular emphasis on providing support for GP Educational Supervisors (ES). This will involve support for new ES’s, skills development for established ES’s and supporting ES’s requiring performance support. A particular area of responsibility will be to organise and deliver the General Practice Educational Supervisor Annual Conference within the west region.
This role will involve being an active member of the west region GP TPD group with regular contact and liaison with other Programme Directors and the Assistant Directors as well as colleagues across Scotland.
