This is an exciting opportunity to join our innovative NES Pharmacy team delivering education and training to Pharmacy Technicians across Scotland. This post will facilitate your personal development and career prospects by expanding your experience in delivery of educational initiatives at a national level.

What you'll do

This senior educator post will provide leadership and operational management to the post registration pharmacy technician workstream until March 2023 initially.

This includes management of the pharmacy technician team (4) who support the Pharmacy technician foundation programme and the GP learning pathway for pharmacy technicians.

You will be responsible for the delivery and ongoing development of the Pharmacy Technician Foundation Training programme, and the initial development of the pharmacy technician career pathway.

Due to the need for strategic development of the post registration pharmacy technician career pathway over the coming months this post will require to provide vision, innovation and guidance  as well as influence and collaborate with key stakeholders such as Scottish Government, SQA, Further education providers , APTUK, GPhC to drive forward the plans.

You will continually liaise with territorial Boards, Community Pharmacy Scotland, Scottish Government and Further Education providers to ensure timely delivery.

What you'll bring

  • Experience as a registered Pharmacy Technician
  • Experience of working in an educationally focused environment
  • Experience of delivery of Pharmacy Technician post registration training.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain good communications and working relationships with a wide range of healthcare staff and stakeholders
