Maryfield Medical Centre is looking to recruit a Senior General Practice Nurse to join our friendly team based in Dundee. Maryfield Medical Centre operates under a 2c arrangement with NHS Tayside.
We are looking to recruit an experienced General Practice Nurse who will work in partnership with the Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Manager and Lead GP.
As part of supporting the practice development plan and RCGP 2022 Vision for General Practice, your role will facilitate the nurse-led management of long term conditions delivered to our practice population with a person centred focus and safe, effective evidence based care.
As well as having routine general Practice Nurse skills you should have the ability to work autonomously, be an excellent team player and have commitment to professional development. We have a strong team ethos and fully support training and education requirements for practice development.
You will provide clinical management, leadership and mentorship to the practice nursing team and undertake regular 1:1 clinical supervision sessions, annual appraisals and manage the professional development of the nursing team.
You will be a registered nurse with previous supervisory or leadership experience and posses a qualification in non medical prescribing or willingness to work towards this.
It is important that you can work as part of a team and a degree of flexibility will be required with regards to work patterns. There may be a requirement to work across other 2C practices in Dundee should the need arise.
Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 0800 and 1800 hours.
