Are you a pharmacist interested in Practice Pharmacy and Primary Care but looking for a bit more?  Do you want to develop your clinical skills working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside GPs, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, nurses and a variety of other health and social care professionals while also having the opportunity to pursue your own professional development interests?  If so our new Career Start programme could be for you.


As a Career Start Practice Pharmacist, during your initial two years you will spent a proportion of your week working in GP practices alongside the practice and pharmacy teams to deliver high quality pharmaceutical care to our patients in line with Achieving Excellence in Pharmaceutical Care and the GMS contract Pharmacotherapy Service and the remainder of your week will be spent developing your knowledge and skills in an area of interest for you such as quality improvement, leadership, or a clinical specialism.  You will be supported by an educational framework and clinical and educational supervisors as you work towards becoming an advanced General Practice Clinical Pharmacist and beyond as your career develops.

 

The successful candidate will be a team player with good clinical and interpersonal skills, keen to develop both them self and the Pharmacy service, and have a commitment to providing high quality care to support our patients achieve the best outcome from their medicines
