Would you like to be part of the exciting expansion of our Orthopaedic Theatres?

We have an opportunity for enthusiastic and experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioners to join our team at the NHS Golden Jubilee University Hospital, to support the ongoing education and development of theatre staff. Currently the Golden Jubilee Hospital is home to 5 Orthopaedic theatres, providing hip and knee replacements, along with ACL reconstructions and complex foot and ankle surgery to patients throughout Scotland.

As one of the Orthopaedic Team Leaders you’ll play a key role in helping to ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills to support the opening of 5 new Orthopaedic Theatres in 2023, as well as preparing them for participation in our pioneering robotic programmes - the Rosa and Mako robots. This position is integral in supporting the Senior Charge Nurse to lead the Orthopaedic Theatre team whilst planning for the theatre expansion.

There is an opportunity for further learning and development in this role, with in-house development courses in areas such as Leadership and Challenging Conversations on offer. Our Clinical Education team is also on hand to provide support, from staff induction to delivering monthly education days. For example, Basic Life Support, Manual Handling and speciality specific training sessions.

As we continue to expand our services, this is your chance to become part of a progressive, dynamic, person centred and reputable team, within a world-renowned healthcare organisation. The post holder should demonstrate excellent communication skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude. A commitment to providing high quality, evidence based, safe and effective person-centred care is essential.

This role requires flexible working over 7 days and covering on call rotas overnight and at weekends. Full and part-time hours available.

For an informal discussion regarding these posts please contact Jennifer Hyslop, Senior Charge Nurse, on 0141 951 5383.
