An exciting opportunity has arisen as part of Primary Care developments to provide senior leadership to the General Practice Nursing (GPN) workforce across Tayside, to ensure delivery of frontline professional and operational priorities. This is new role that you will have the opportunity to influence.


You will work across the three Health and Social Care Partnerships (HSCPs) in Tayside in collaboration with primary care management teams, GP practices, quality clusters and other stakeholders to plan, implement and evaluate service redesign and modernisation, promoting a culture that improves quality and enhances the patients experience of care, working closely with other Senior Nurses to deliver on areas of joint priority.


Under the leadership of the Chief Nurse Care Homes and Primary Care, you will support the HSCPs in the transition of the new General Medical Services (GMS) Contract with particular focus on the GPN transformed role, collaborating with all key stakeholders locally, regionally and with professional networks.


Being a positive, nurse leader you must be registered on Sub-part 1 or Sub-part 2 of the NMC Register. A specialist practitioner qualification in General Practice Nursing is desirable but not essential.

This post requires travel across the region.  The base for the post is negotiable within Tayside.

Hours of work are:  30 hrs
