An exciting opportunity has opened up for a highly motivated band 6 nurse to become part of the team within the new integrated Surgical High Dependency Unit (SHDU).
SHDU is an 18 bedded HDU for all Level 2 patients, inclusive of general surgery, vascular, cardiothoracic and surgical specialties.
Successful applicants should have had previous post registration experience. A genuine interest in Surgical HDU nursing and an extensive knowledge in critical care. Being able to manage and prioritise their own workload and work well within a team is essential.
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate leadership abilities, excellent communication skills and be able to motivate themselves and others.
The post involves day and night rotation working a 12 hour shift pattern.
Valuable training opportunities will be available to advance critical care knowledge and skill.
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
