Are you a Nurse Consultant Infection Prevention and Control with experience of working at a senior level?  Why not consider an opportunity to work within Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) Scotland, part of National Services Scotland, working in partnership to deliver national services which enable and support a safer and healthier Scotland.

ARHAI leads and supports efforts to prevent healthcare associated infection by means of guidance development, surveillance, operational support and training, covering areas such as incident and outbreak management, decontamination, the built environment, research and infection prevention and control expertise.

We are seeking a Nurse Consultant to join the ARHAI Group to provide clinical leadership across ARHAI Scotland’s six Priority Programmes ICBED (Infection Control in Built Environment & Decontamination), NPGO (National Policies, Guidance and Outbreaks), CIPC (Community Infection Prevention and Control), Scottish Surveillance of HAI Programme (SSHAIP) and Scottish One Health Antimicrobial Use and Antimicrobial Resistance (SONAAR).

Are you a first level registered nurse with a Masters degree or equivalent learning and evidence of on-going professional development? Do you have the relevant clinical expertise, experience of leadership and innovation within this setting?

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisations skills, someone who can prioritise, assess and decision make, someone who is proactive, innovative and enthusiastic.

Knowledge of ARHAI Scotland would be advantageous.  It is vital that you demonstrate the NSS values of working with respect and care, openness and integrity.

This is a National post.  The post is flexible and will be hosted by ARHAI Scotland.  Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic working from home may be required.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure Scotland check.

Any candidate who has lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
