An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the Care Home Team during a period of ongoing development under Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership.
The successful applicant will be joining an integrated Care Home Team consisting of mental health nurses, general health nurses and social work review officers in supporting residents and care homes in providing holistic care in achieving identified outcomes for resident’s living in care homes in Dundee.
The successful applicant joining the team must be able to work independently, under the support and guidance of the band 6 Mental Health Nurse and Team Manager. There will be a requirement to construct links with other statutory and non-statutory agencies as well as engage with the public to enhance and improve the service. The successful applicant will also hold a dedicated caseload and work as an independent practitioner. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will have excellent communication, written and negotiation skills in promoting a person-centred approach when working with older people with mental health problems.
The post holder will be working 09:00-17:00, Monday to Friday, as well as being part of an on-call rota covering every 1 in 6 weekends. However, this may be subject to change, due to the consideration of a 7-day service 8am-8pm.
Hours of work are: 37.5 hours per week.
