Job Advert

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Primary Care Resilience team within Perth & Kinross Health & Social Care Partnership. As a General Practice Nurse, you will support the newly established multidisciplinary resilience team which will provide essential support to G.P. practices when required.

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses, who have the ability to demonstrate experience of Practice Nursing.  As a member of the P&K Resilience Team, you will provide clinical interventions as directed by the Practice, working at all times within your scope of practice.  You will utilise agreed levels of decision making and clinical judgement to triage, assess and treat a diverse range of patients.  Evidence of post registration qualification is also desirable.

The establishment of the Primary Care Resilience Team in Perth and Kinross is a more pro-active approach to supporting G.P. practices and builds more rapid response capacity within General Practice.  These are new posts which aim to provide Practice Nurse capacity in this way and support General Practice to maintain safe and effective services.

There are 23 G.P. Practices within Perth and Kinross, and the post holders may be requested to work across these practices when required and as appropriate.  Hours and days offered for the post can be negotiable.

As there is a requirement to work within different practices within Perth and Kinross, you should be adaptable, with the ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of patients.  You should have good organisational skills and have the ability to prioritise and plan your workload.

In return we offer the opportunity to work with a dynamic Health & Social Care Partnership and the successful applicants will be supported to continue to develop and demonstrate advanced level practice to maximise the wider opportunities to improve the health and social care outcomes for the population of Perth & Kinross.

You must have the personal drive, clinical knowledge and commitment to undertake this challenging and rewarding role.  The ability to travel across Perth & Kinross is essential.  Please see Job description for other requirements of this post.
