We have the opportunity for two committed Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our Community Mental Health Teams in North and South Angus.


One post will be based at Gowanlea in Arbroath covering the South Angus area, the other will be based at Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre in Forfar covering North West Angus.  Both post holders will be part of the Integrated Community Mental Health Team, providing a weekend service to clients across both areas. The ability to work as part of our weekend service is essential to the post.


You will be responsible for managing a caseload and must be able to work unsupervised and be able to plan/prioritise your work schedule. You must also have the ability to work co-operatively with other professionals, agencies and be able to work effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary team.


Knowledge, skills and experience of working with clients with severe and/or enduring mental health problems is essential. You will be required to demonstrate competence in assessing care needs and in developing, implementing and evaluating evidence based treatment packages for clients and their carers. Good interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills are also necessary.


Successful candidates will receive a robust induction programme alongside ongoing supportive clinical and managerial supervision. Your professional development will be supported through internal and external training, structured reviews and the support of a multi-disciplinary team.
