POST: SENIOR CLINICAL FELLOW – UROLOGY (PELVIC ONCOLOGY)
BASE: QUEEN ELIZABETH UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Applications are invited for this post, which will provide key input to the Urology Service in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and support delivery of cancer targets. The post is available immediately, for twelve months in the first instance.
The post is suitable for an experienced doctor in Urology who wishes to develop a subspecialty interest in the field of pelvic cancer management.
The fellowship will be focused on robotic assisted radical prostatectomy (and cystectomy). The successful candidate is expected to gain proficiency in this field via modular training program. They will be involved in all urological activities, including outpatient and theatre activity and will join a team of Urology surgeons delivering elective, emergency and outpatient services across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. They will also be expected to work within the Multidisciplinary pelvic cancer team and to carry out research and participate in audit activity, aimed to publication in peer reviewed journals. The successful applicant will participate in the Registrar on-call rota, currently 1 in 8 (Band 2B).
