This is a full-time post offered on a fixed term of 18 months.
Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is seeking to recruit two enthusiastic individuals for the posts of Recovery Peer Navigators.
Both posts will have responsibility for supporting individuals to identify, plan and achieve their own recovery goals by focusing on the potential of life-long recovery and growth.
These posts will be based in Renfrewshire CIRCLE Addiction and Mental Health Recovery Services as well as aligned to relevant key stakeholders, providing recovery focused support to individuals with a history of mental health/and or substance use issues who are not in contact with treatment and care services.
It is intended that the addition of these posts will add to the development of a Recovery Orientated System of Care in Renfrewshire and the wider partnership.
Ideally, the post holders should have lived experience of recovery from substance and or mental health use and have a good understanding of the barriers to recovery.
A clear understanding of stigma and discrimination and how this can impact on an individual’s recovery would also be advantageous.
