Occupational Therapist
Orthopaedic Supported Discharge
37.5 hours per week, 1 year secondment opportunity.
Applications are invited for the post of Occupational Therapist within the orthopaedic supported discharge team based at the Royal Infirmary (RIE). This is a physically demanding job providing short term rehabilitation supporting patients at home who are being discharged from RIE.
You will have strong communication skills, excellent prioritisation and time management skills and be able to work autonomously. You will be able to demonstrate initiative and provide leadership to health care support workers within the team. There is opportunity to further develop skills in leadership, audit and service development.
Previous experience in orthopaedics preferred but not essential.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
