In conjunction with the Director of Public Protection, Clinical Nurse Manager and lead clinicians, the post holder will lead and promote a strategy for education, policy and service development within a framework of clinical governance, integral with the NHS Lothian Public Protection (child protection) strategies, which support the protection of children, young people and adults.
To lead the implementation of the Public Protection Learning & Development Strategy and learning & development activities across NHS Lothian, together with the ongoing development of robust inter-agency training opportunities for all staff.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
