An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Pharmacy Technician to be part of the expanding Pharmacy team within Primary Care in Annandale and Eskdale. This is such an exciting time to be joining our team as we continue to develop our clinical pharmacy service in GP practices across Dumfries and Galloway and help people live longer and healthier lives by getting the most out of their medicines.  This post is central to our ambitions for the future of pharmacy in the region as we seek to expand our Pharmacy Technician workforce to enable us to deliver the pharmacy profession of the future.

The successful candidates will work within Annandale and Eskdale to support the GP practices to ensure patients receive the right medicines, understand their medicines and are able to seek help and advice in a timely manner.

​​​​​​​Tasks include medicine reconciliation for discharge and outpatient letters, medication reviews, dealing with special requests and supply problems. Opportunities for developing your clinical skills which will be fully supported through education and training.

We have flexible working hours Monday-Friday with no weekend working. We are a family oriented team.

NHS Dumfries & Galloway can support OSCE Training for international nurses for vacancies based at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary or Mountainhall Treatment Centre Community Ward 1 for those who have completed CBT and English language.
