​​​​​​​NHS Community South Ayrshire Treatment and Recovery Team (START) are seeking an innovative forward thinking and creative band 5  mental health nurse, to be a key part of the team to enhance our existing services.  

You will be flexible to work across South Ayrshire in order to meet service demand.

Based in South Ayrshire, you will be working under the direction and supervision of a Community Mental Health Charge Nurse to develop and deliver support for individuals, to encourage engagement with services which is tailored to the individual’s needs. 

You should be open to new ways of working and be able to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving and changing service, undertaking comprehensive clinical assessment and recovery focused treatment support to clients with a range of alcohol and drug problems including, sexual and physical/mental health related issues within a community setting.   

It is essential you have a professional qualification (Registered Nurse).  

You will have excellent communication and information technology skills.  

You will also have an excellent understanding of drug/ alcohol use and associated issues and a genuine desire to work with service users.  

It is desirable that you have experience of working in a community setting.
  
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are also essential.

A car driver/access is essential, as you will be required to work across South Ayrshire locality area.
