OUR VALUES IN ACTION

Care and Compassion - Quality and Teamwork - Dignity and Respect - Openness, honesty and responsibility

We are delighted to advertise this 0.2 WTE fixed term position within CAMHS to lead the delivery of the NES LIAM initiative across the Borders region. The post will be based within the locality Tier 3 team in Selkirk but will involve travel across the health board area. The role will involve delivering LIAM training to staff within the School Nursing team and also providing ongoing supervision/ consultancy for them and colleagues already trained in the programme. The School Nursing team are extremely positive about LIAM and value highly their support from Clinical Psychology.

We welcome applications from those who have a proven track record of delivering high quality training and supervision to CAMHS stakeholder colleagues and whilst specific training/ experience in LIAM would be an advantage it is not essential as this can be provided.

There are currently five clinical psychologists and two CAAPs within the locality team, who will provide a very supportive working environment and peer network for the successful candidate. Line management and supervision will be provided by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist.

Eligible applicants will have a postgraduate Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology and be registered as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical) with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).   Candidates are expected to have a full driving licence and use of own car for work purposes in order to provide service delivery in locality clinics across the Borders region.

The Borders service is within commutable distance from Edinburgh and several members of the psychology service live within the Capital.

Informal enquires or visits are welcome.
