A permanent opportunity has arisen for the post of Maintenance Specialist (Electrical) trained in Decontamination to join our team within NHS Tayside, based at Ninewells Hospital with regular travel and work at other sites with Decontamination Equipment within Tayside.
Minimum requirements for the post are a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship, HNC or ONC, City & Guilds, SVQ/NVQ`s with relevant experience. Additional City & Guilds qualifications for maintenance/testing; Porous Load sterilisers, Thermal Washers, Chemical Washers (Endoscopy) are essential, and further training will be provided for a suitable candidate if required.
The main duties of the post will be to undertake essential repair work, planned maintenance, and testing activities with agreed procedures under the instruction/supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager and to participate in the departments On - Call rota to cover NHS Tayside.
The Post holder will be required to work at any NHS Tayside property as necessary, therefore the ability to travel is essential.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
